2nd Annual PATRICK’S PALS Motorcycle Benefit Run

Enjoy ocean and countryside views on this 50 mile ride while supporting a most worthy cause.

TIME:  8:00AM – 10:00AM – Rider Registration

           11:00AM – Kickstands UP!

           Lunch

$$$:  Your $20 registration fee includes rider lunch after ride.  Lunch

         is available for passengers and non-riders also for $10.

This year, all proceeds will directly benefit children’s cancer programs in Maine, including:

• Camp Sunshine
• Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital
• Maine Children’s Cancer Program

A bake sale benefiting Alex’s Lemonade Stand will also be held the day of the event.  Proceeds go to finding a cure for childhood cancer.  Visit www.alexslemonade.org for more information.

An update on Patrick

From Patrick's family:

     "We wanted to give everyone an update on how Patrick is doing.  Patrick has been in the most intense part of his treatment, called Front-line Therapy, since his diagnosis last summer.  Having been diagnosed with Very High Risk Leukemia, he has had to endure almost double the amount of intense chemotherapy that Low or Standard Risk treatment protocols require. Although there have been some unanticipated bumps in the road, and although he has experienced the anticipated side effects from the chemotherapy he has, overall, done very well with his treatment thus far.  We hope to enter the Maintenance phase of treatment, which is far less intense, at some point in early summer.  Despite the fact that the intensity of the treatment eases during Maintenance therapy, there is still a long road ahead.  Patrick's anticipated end of treatment date is October, 2016.

     We continue to be incredibly grateful for the overwhelming amount of support, love, and generosity that people have shown Patrick and us this year.  We sincerely believe that part of the reason Patrick has done so well throughout this process is because he feels and draws strength from the prayers and love that people continue to direct towards him.  

     Through Patrick's Pals, we hope to continue to not only raise funds to help other law enforcement families who are battling this disease, but also raise awareness about both childhood leukemia and pediatric cancer in general."

Picture Perfect

August 10, 2013, finally came and oh what a day it was!  

All of the planning, collaboration, dedication and hard work made for a picture perfect Inagural Patrick's Pals Benefit Ride in Kennebunkport, Maine.  One hundred-twenty plus motorcycles and several hundred supporters turned out.  They were greeted with amazing weather, great food and entertainment and a silent auction that put on full display the support that this incredible community has shown for Patrick.

The volunteers who are "Patrick's Pals" would like to express our heart felt "THANK YOU" to everyone who made this event possible.  Countless businesses and individuals stepped up with time, materials, auction items, venue, food, labor, labor and labor.  This was truly a humbling and inspirational experience for us all.

Patrick's Pals will be back next year to turn this event into a local tradition.  Please check back often for updates about the event for 2014.
